Your appointments are very important to the providers of Skinologie Studio. It is reserved especially for you, and we want to make your experience here as amazing as we can. We understand though, that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully require no less than 24 hours notice for cancellations. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services. For this reason, we also require a valid credit or debit card on file to ensure your appointment. Cancellation fees will be charged to the card you provide, and you will always be informed of the charge. Our appointments are confirmed 48 hours in advance, with reminders sent via text leading up to the appointment as well, because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked months ago.

As some of our services are scheduled in specific and complicated ways, we do require you to call or text us at 219.307.3793 to book them. This includes most of our packages!
We require a credit card on file to hold your appointment and for ease of payment. When giving us your card information, you are not paying for your appointment. This is the card we will charge first in instances of a broken cancellation policy or a forgotten payment method. We will never charge your card without your knowledge or your consent. By putting your card on file with us, you consent to being charged per our cancellation policy, and we will always inform you if we do charge the card on file.
Most waxing services have max times, but we do try to get you complete these services with speed and efficiency, while still providing a clean, thorough wax! Our waxers were trained with our methods and products, but they've each developed their own waxing style, so timing will absolutely vary based on the provider you are booked with.
Scheduled services with set times, like massages or facials, are adhered to by our providers to the best of their ability! It is best to arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment time. If you arrive at the exact start time of your appointment, this may cause the service to be shortened as necessary things like consultations or getting changed for your service may cut into the service time.
Late arrivals will receive the time remaining for their appointment, but will be charged the full amount of the service booked regardless of any shortened timing.
If your service timing is changed due to an error on our end, like starting late or accidentally ending early, we will absolutely provide a solution for you! Whether that means completing the full service and ending a bit later, or discounting the service entirely, we do strive to provide excellent customer service and want to ensure you leave feeling satisfied, cared for, and oh so relaxed!
To remove unwanted hair from the face or body. Hair regrowth takes significantly longer than shaving with much less irritation, for long lasting results of smoother, clearer skin!
At Skinologie, we take pride in our ability to keep you comfortable when waxing even the most sensitive areas! By using wax designed for even the most sensitive skin types, products to prep the skin pre-wax and specially crafted waxing techniques, we have found ways to significantly minimize discomfort for our clients! We also have multiple different options to calm the skin post wax, so we can customize our products to our client's specific skin type that leave you feeling smooth and soothed!
We understand that waxing isn't always the most comfortable service to receive, so here are some tips to make the service a bit easier on you!
Ensuring the positive effects of a waxing service & avoiding the negatives is fairly easy, as aftercare requires minimal commitment.
It really varies from person to person depending on each individual's rate of hair growth, but the general rule of thumb is 1/4 of an inch or the length of a grain of rice! You should typically wait at least two weeks after shaving to get waxed.
Absolutely! As long as you wear a tampon, cup, or something that contains the fluid in your body, we wax clients on their cycle all the time! There is a possibility your skin will be more sensitive, and you may experience more discomfort than normal during and after the wax, but that's totally normal and nothing to worry about.
An Above The Knee Clean service removes the hair from your knees to your belly button. This bundle is easier to book, & costs less than if you scheduled all the services separately! This Includes,
Soft Wax is removed with a strip, whereas Hard Wax solidifies on the skin and is removed by hand. Unless specifically listed as a Hard Wax service, we use a combination of the two during our waxes to maximize time and efficiency, as well as minimizing cost and discomfort for our clients!

A facial is a skin care treatment, typically done on the face but can be offered for certain areas of the body as well! A facial at Skinologie comes with a thorough skin analysis, consultation, a deep cleansing, steam & enzymes to provide deep exfoliation, extractions if necessary, relaxing massage on multiple areas of the body (Including but not limited to face, scalp, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, & feet), a face mask, serums & a multitude of other finishing products like eye creams, moisturizers & lip balms. These services are completely customizable, meaning we can blend a multitude of different products to target a wide variety of skin concerns & tailor the facial completely to your needs!
A peel (often called "chemical peel," or "skin peel,") is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the face to remove the top layers of skin, revealing smoother, more even & softer skin! The protocol for peels at Skinologie is very similar to a Facial, but with deeper exfoliation which can, you guessed it, make the dead layers of your skin physically peel off! Peeling can start anywhere from 24-72 hours after the service, & can last for up to a week at times. The amount of actual peeling you receive after a service depends on the depth of the peel performed, they can be completely customized & tailored to your preferences & your skin's needs! With a light or medium peel, you may have significantly less peeling or none at all, & may need to undergo the procedure more than once to get the desired results. Peels are great for most concerns including, but not limited to, acne, uneven texture, uneven tone, signs of aging & hyperpigmentation! We offer a wide array of peels to provide you with the best results possible!
HydraFacials are done with a machine and offer instant, noticeable results by removing dead skin cells & extracting impurities while simultaneously bathing the new skin with cleansing, hydrating & moisturizing serums. This invigorating treatment is soothing, refreshing, non-irritating and immediately effective with absolutely no required downtime. We offer a wide range of HydraFacial services for as little as 30 minutes, or up to 105 minutes with added benefits such as specialty facial massage, LED light machine, a jelly mask, or extended massage time!

The best thing you can do is come in without makeup on! Your skin doesn't have to be freshly cleaned as we will provide you with a deep cleansing, but avoiding any excess product on the skin means less time will need to be spent on getting the skin cleaned & prepped for the service! You should also avoid any retinols, retinoids, excess sun exposure or other prescription grade products on the skin for about 7-10 days prior.
Your provider should give you guidelines on how to best care for your skin post-skincare service! But generally, for the rest of the day immediately following your service, continue avoiding any retinols, retinoids, other prescription grade products on the skin or excess sun exposure. You should be able to continue these products about 7 days after a facial, 48-72 hours after your skin has finished peeling (depending on what your provider suggests), or about 24-48 hours after your HydraFacial service. Sun exposure should be limited for 7-14 days after all of these services, ranging on how your skin reacts or the depth of the service , & SPF should absolutely be used daily. You should also avoid washing your face for 8-12 hours post facial, peel, or HydraFacial as well, to give the products enough time to efficiently penetrate the skin's barrier & work to their fullest extent!

A Lash Lift a process that provides gorgeous lifted lashes without the use of lash extensions or a lash curler!
First, we do a consultation to determine the length, density, & health of the lashes. This information allows us to customize certain details of the service to your specific needs (like what size curling rod to use, or how long to let the solution set), before we thoroughly wash the lashes & remove any excess oils or leftover makeup to start with a fresh, clean base! Next, we use a gentle, water soluble glue to adhere the lashes to a rod or shield, while also confirming the lashes are separated nicely to give a curled, lifted & voluminous look!
Then, a lifting solution is applied to activate the curl, followed by a neutralizing solution that seals everything into place. If you choose to have your lashes tinted, we do the tint after removing the lifting & setting solutions.
After removing the rod or shield from your lash line, we clean up any excess glue or product from the eye area, & finish up with a deep conditioning leave on product!
Results give the appearance of longer, fuller & lifted lashes that last 6-9 weeks, or up to 12 weeks for some!
Similar to a lash lift, a Brow Lamination (or "lam,") is a process that provides a fuller look to the brows without the use of makeup products!
First, we do a consultation to determine the length, density, & health of the brows. This information allows us to customize certain details of the service to your specific needs (like how long to let the solution set), before we thoroughly wash the brows & remove any excess oils or leftover makeup to start with a fresh, clean base!
Next, we brush the brows into place & use a gentle, water soluble glue to keep them in the lifted position, while also confirming the hairs are separated nicely to give a cleaner, fuller look!
Then, a lifting solution is applied to activate the lift, followed by a neutralizing solution that seals everything into place. If you choose to have your brows tinted, we do the tint after removing the lifting & setting solutions.
After removing the solutions from your brows, we clean up any excess glue or product from the eye area, & finish up with a deep conditioning leave on product!
Results give the appearance of longer, fuller, & more lifted brows that last 6-8 weeks, or up to 10 for some!
A tint is a process in which a tinting solution or eye-safe temporary dye is applied to the lashes or brows to give them a fuller, deeper look without the use of makeup products.
First, we do a consultation to determine your base color a& density of your brows. This information allows us to customize certain details of the service to your specific needs (like how deep to make your tint, how much tint to mix up & how long to let the tint set).
Next, we determine a color that best suits you! This can sometimes mean custom blending a color out of the options we offer to really tailor it to your desired shade or undertone!
Then, we apply the tint to the brow & carefully clean up the edges to provide you with a sleek, sharp & clean brow shape!
After the tint has set for an appropriate amount of time, we remove the product & use a cleansing solution to remove any excess staining from the skin under or around the brow.
Results give the brows a deeper, fuller & more noticeable or intense look to the brows that lasts 2-4 weeks, or up to 6 for some!
Tints typically aren't too damaging to the hair as we are only depositing color.
Lash Lifts and Brow Laminations can be damaging to the lashes or brow hairs due to the process of opening the hair cuticle to provide the desired results. They can be excessively damaging in certain instances, including but not limited to:
We look to combat damage to the hair by carefully paying attention to processing times, having you fill out an intake form with the information needed to safely provide the services, & finishing each service with a deep conditioning treatment. We suggest waiting a minimum of 6-8 weeks in between services to avoid over processing the lashes!
To provide relaxation, therapeutic release of muscle tension or pain, & promote a sense of overall wellbeing!
Massage services consist of rubbing or kneading the skin, muscles, tendons & ligaments with therapeutic techniques to target issues such as pain, tightness, soreness, swelling, & tension. Massages have also been shown to provide other benefits, such as promoting lymph drainage, improved digestion, easing of joint pain & increased range of motion! We also strive to provide total relaxation during these massages, with a dark room, heated bed, relaxing music & an overall cozy atmosphere!
The best way to prep for a massage is to drink plenty of water, & get yourself into as comfortable of a state as possible. This may mean taking a hot bath or shower, changing into loungewear, eating a light meal or snack beforehand, using the restroom, or anything else that will help prep your body to fully relax during your service!
We cannot emphasize water intake enough! Drinking plenty of water after a massage will help to drain the lymph fluid & lactic acid released during the service. Lactic acid is released from the muscles during massage work, & can cause muscle soreness the following days if it's left to build up. Other ways you can aid in the results of a massage is to let your body stay in a relaxed state as much as possible. Just take it easy for the rest of the day, & get plenty of rest!
Our Silicone Cupping Therapy is an ancient form of therapeutic massage used in Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures, dating all the way back to medical textbooks from 1550 B.C. During a Cupping Therapy Service, a therapist uses special cups to target your problem areas with a vacuum-like suction. This is meant to provide many benefits, including increased circulation of blood & lymph fluid, release of muscle toxins, long lasting relief of pain & muscle tension, treatment of chronic pain causing issues, & reduces painful trigger points.
